The Concordia University Ann Arbor Baccalaureate will take place in the Chapel of the Holy Trinity at 7:30 PM on Friday, May 4. The Rev. Dr. Paul R. Naumann, a CUAA alumnus and the Chairman on the Board of Regents, will preside over this ceremony.

Mr. Roy A. Schmidt will receive the Christus Primus Award at the Concordia University Ann Arbor Commencement on Saturday, May 5.
Mr. Roy A. Schmidt earned his AA degree from Delta College in Bay City, Michigan and his BA degree from Concordia College. He served as Vice President of Advancement for Concordia College from 1989 to 2001. He now serves as the Senior Ambassador for Concordia University in Ann Arbor.

The Rev. Gregory P. Seltz will receive the Outstanding Alumnus/Alumna Award at the Concordia University Ann Arbor Commencement on Saturday, May 5.
Reverend Seltz was named The Lutheran Hour speaker in February of 2011. Prior to becoming the Lutheran Hour speaker, Reverend Seltz served as the Director of the Cross-Cultural Ministry Center as well as professor of Theology at Concordia University in Irvine, California. Prior to his work at Concordia University, Rev. Seltz was the Executive Director of Life’s Journey Ministries, an urban, not-for-profit evangelism ministry in Manhattan, New York.

The Rev. David P. E. Maier, President of the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree at the Concordia University Ann Arbor Commencement on Saturday, May 5.
The Rev. David P. E. Maier received his B.A. Degree from Concordia University Ann Arbor with a double major in Biblical Languages and Christian Doctrine. He went on to attend the Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. Following his Ordination on August 15, 1982, he served as Pastor at Our Savior in Marlette, MI; St. Peter in Arlington Heights, IL; and Our Savior, Lansing. He was elected President of the Michigan District of the LC-MS in June of 2009.

The Kreft Arts Program, in conjunction with the Department of English at Concordia University, is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Conference on Spirituality and the Arts and Sciences. The Conference will take place on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012 and is open to all students, alumni, faculty and staff as well as the public. The theme of this year’s Conference is “reflection.” The Conference functions as a consummation of the Kreft Art Program's annual season of activities, and its primary focus will center on the idea of reflection as this concept is displayed across the University’s curriculum and throughout the disciplines which constitute this curriculum.
