Q: What is the CFMP plan?
A: The Campus Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) is a series of study documents by which physical facility needs are identified to upgrade the university as well as to change and grow the university long-term. It is an element of the overall Operational Plan (OP) of the university.
Q. What other elements are included in the OP?
A. The Business Model and Management Plan (BMMP): the plan by which the university operates day-to-day. The Capital Campaign (CC): is a campaign by which personal relationships of the university are nurtured and encouraged, supporter interests are clarified, and financial resources are generated to implement content of the CFMP.
Q. How does the CFMP work with the 5-year Strategic Plan?
A. The 5- year Strategic Plan is an on-going and evolving document that provides specific, attainable, and measurable goals for the university. The Strategic Plan explains why the university must change and move forward within its mission and vision and what changes and improvements are proposed. The CFMP documents how these changes will progress and how these changes will look on campus
Q. Why do we need a CFMP?
A. In order for the university to have a coherent vision of what changes and additions made to the facilities of campus and be able to share this vision broadly with constituency groups, student organizations, faculty groups, and customers of the university’s services, we must first have a documented plan.
Q. What is already underway?
A. After researching and contacting 25 prospective campus master planning architectural companies the CFPM development committee narrowed their search down to 5 companies. From there the committee interviewed 3 of the 5 companies and toured various campuses that each company had worked on. Late last year the campus master planning architectural firm, Design Collaborative Inc. was chosen to help Concordia move into the future. Design Collaborative Inc. has toured our campus and spoken with various students and members of our faculty and staff to get a better feel of who Concordia is. You can visit their website at

Q. How is the CFMP being funded?

Q. Who are the constituency and customers of the CFMP?
