Welcome to the Music Department at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. We invite you to spend time looking through our website. This will provide you with a brief overview of our performance opportunities, faculty accomplishments, facilities, ensembles, and programs. Whether you are considering a career in music or interested in making music a significant part of your college experience, Concordia faculty will work closely with you to help you grow in your understanding and appreciation.
Our faculty work hard to help you develop your God-given talents. We have created a challenging program that will allow you to be a leader in your church, community, or profession. Our goal is to create musicians who are firmly grounded in the rudiments of music and who can communicate a broad spectrum of expression in their playing or singing. Specifically, we will encourage you to master your instrument in private lessons while you learn the joy of teamwork in our ensembles. We pray that in your time at Concordia you might understand your musical talents and how they can be used to answer God’s call.
