Michigan teaching certificates are valid for up to five years and must be renewed by
completion of 6 semester hours of academic credit from an approved institution,
or the completion of 18 SB-CEUs, or a combination of the two.
SB-CEUs are a cost effective alternative.
Concordia University is an approved sponsor of State Board Continuing Education
Units (SB-CEUs). Schools and organizations wishing to submit a class, workshop,
meeting or staff development topic for SB-CEU consideration should use the forms
provided below.
