Concordia 2010 Flute Day Camp

Kreft Center for the Arts
The purpose of this camp is to provide an opportunity for the intermediate through advanced flutist to learn more about the flute; to improve one’s technique, practice habits, and musicianship; to make music with others in both flute ensembles and flute choirs; and to be inspired to reach new musical goals. This day camp will focus on flute techniques, expressive musicality, development of rhythmic skills, sight reading, and music theory and history as it relates to
the flute.

Who can attend?
This camp is for the intermediate through advanced level flutist with at least 2 years of playing experience. It is not for beginners. Flutists should have a minimum range of 2 1/2 octaves, be able to play 16th notes, and be familiar with a variety of articulation patterns.

There is an early registration discount.
