File FAFSA Early Incentive Program - File Early Get $50 in CUAA Cash This is a friendly reminder to complete your 2010-11 FAFSA as soon as possible. May 1st is the priority deadline for submitting your FAFSA. Completing your FAFSA by this date guarantees that you will be awarded to your maximum aid eligibility, even if the FAFSA is submitted using estimated data before your 2009 taxes are completed. After May 1st, receipt of need based grants with limited funding is not guaranteed. As an added incentive, if you submit all the documents needed to complete your 2010-11 award package to the Financial Aid Office by April 23 at 5:00 pm, we will give you a $50 gift card for either the Concordia University Bookstore or the Cardinal’s Nest. Your gift card will be given to you at your registration/orientation day in the fall. Documents needed include: 2010-11 FAFSA Verification Documents (if requested by the Financial Aid Office) Keep in mind, it may take a week or so for the Department of Education to send us your FAFSA results and if you are selected for verification, you may need additional time to submit your verification documents to us. The challenge is on! Remember that you will need your 2009 taxes to complete your FAFSA. You can complete it based on estimated 2009 data, but you will need to update it once you and/or your parents do file taxes. The FAFSA website is www.fafsa.ed.gov. Concordia’s school code is 002247.
