Rev. Charles (AA ’69) and Dr. Jeanette (Schlegel) Groth (AA ’68) visited Concordia’s campus in November. Charles spoke in the campus chapel service and the couple presented together in several classes about their missionary work in Cambodia. Concordia students, faculty and staff were blessed to learn from their experiences!
The Groths are called to serve God in Southeast Asia, being based in Cambodia where LCMS World Mission works to support established churches. Chuck serves as a pastor/mentor for leadership training and Jeanette is the education volunteer and mission responder coordinator. Together they are working to put together curriculum and teaching for the training of Lutheran leaders in Southeast Asia. For more information about the Groths’ mission in Cambodia, please visit www.lcms.org?9341
Charles and Jeanette met at Concordia in 1968 and were married in 1970. They have served in Richton Park, Illinois; Crown Point, Indiana; Lexington, Kentucky; and Ghana, West Africa.
