From the time of its founding as Concordia Junior College in 1963, Concordia University has always valued its special relationship with congregations of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
As we envision Concordia in 2013, our fiftieth anniversary, partnership with congregations, districts, and the synod are essential. As Martin Luther said, “For the sake of the church we must have and maintain Christian Schools.”
The goal of the office of church relations is to…
Continue to cherish those with whom we’ve been partnering, and build new bridges of partnership with congregations, districts, and other groups within the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod that will strengthen both and allow us to fulfill our common mission. These favorable relations should facilitate financial support, student enrollment, and valuable educational resources for pastors, teachers, and lay leaders – current and future.
Support from and friendships with our constituencies will be fostered through correspondence, meetings, and special programming about the university.
