FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY’S A.C.E PROGRAM TO OFFER 2 NEW MAJORS
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 5, 2006- Concordia University–Ann Arbor is expanding its Adult and Continuing Education program (ACE) with two new majors, Hospitality Management and Public Safety Administration. The ACE program is designed to accommodate the busy schedules and lifestyles of working adults seeking to continue their education while keeping their place in the workforce.
“We’ve had great response so far to these two majors. Public Safety Administration is a hot topic and opening field, and Hospitality Management in the service and tourism industry will be a key factor for Michigan’s future economy,” stated Aldred Martinez an admissions counselor for the ACE program.
The first of the two new majors is Hospitality Management, which features 17 courses; including Writing the Critical Analysis, Research Methods, and a field related Senior Project. The major is designed to prepare men and women for a life of values-based leadership and service in the various segments of the field of hospitality business, the Church, and the world.
The second new major to be offered at Concordia, is a degree in Public Safety Administration. A bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Administration supports the need for servant leadership in the public safety fields of fire protection, emergency medical services, industrial security, criminal justice, and emergency response management. The degree is a strong tool towards advancement in leadership and administration as well as being helpful in the execution of safety service duties. The program requires 19 courses, with 9 credits to be selected an emphasis area in Emergency Response Management, Fire Science Administration, or Criminal Justice Administration.
