JAMES KIBBIE IN CONCERT AT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY
ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 14, 2007- James Kibbie, professor of organ at the University of Michigan will be performing famous works of Johann Sebastian Bach in recognition of the late musician’s 321st birthday March 22 at 7:30 p.m., in the Chapel of the Holy Trinity.
The evening’s performance will feature music from various periods of Bach’s life that demonstrates the rich variety of his genius. Kibbie is specifically known for his expertise on the organ works of Bach and has performed more than 270 organ compositions of Bach in a series of 18 recitals. Kibbie is currently involved in a three-year project to record the complete Bach organ works on historic 18th century German organs which Bach knew and played.
