CONCORDIA’S SCHOOL OF EDUCATION EARNS EXEMPLARY RATING
ANN ARBOR, Mich., August 15, 2007 - Concordia University’s School of Education has received an “Exemplary” rating from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). The MDE scores the performance of teacher preparatory institutions in the state.
The MDE evaluates schools based upon criteria divided into six sections: the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Exams, student teacher surveys, program completion rates, program review status, diversity and if the school offers high need programs like math, special education and science. Concordia earned an exemplary rating with a score of 65 out of a possible 70, outscoring a number of better known, larger schools.
