FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONCORDIA HOSTS FACULTY RECITAL WITH ANN ARBOR SCHOOL FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
ANN ARBOR, Mich., February 1, 2008 – For the second time in two years, the faculty and staff of the Concordia University—Ann Arbor (CUAA) Music Department and the Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts (AASPA) joined together for a collaborative recital on January 31.
The evening recital featured a variety of talents and performances, which displayed the exceptional knowledge and passion that each faculty and staff member brings to their art. The recital included an assortment of vocal solos and duets, along with performances on the flute, trombone, organ, violin, trumpet, and the piano.
Most importantly, the recital brought to light the close relationship between CUAA and the AASPA music faculty. Arriving on CUAA’s campus in 1995, AASPA has shared with CUAA some of its most unique talent, including the current president of the school, Stephanie Weaver, who frequently accompanies the CUAA choir and other student performers. The faculty recital is the second of what many hope will become an annual collaboration. For more information about future events at Concordia, visit http://www.cuaa.edu/cuarts/.
