CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY ANN ARBOR PUTS A FREEZE ON ITS TUITION
ANN ARBOR, Mich. May 28, 2008 With prices rising on everything gas, food, and even education, Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA) has decided to hold the line. For the 2008-09 academic year, tuition room and board prices will be at the 2007-08 rate.
“Looking at the market, many universities are raising their tuitions five to 10 percent, so holding the line is critical for us,” said Concordia’s Executive Vice President Charles Winterstein. “We’ve done our best to hold the line in the past five years, which is a very difficult thing to do in the current economy.” The CUAA administration is currently building the budgets for the next three years, and will be able to have a tuition projection for 2009-10 academic year by the end of the summer. Winterstein concluded, “Our decision is based on our commitment to the students. We are committed to providing an affordable, quality Christian education.”
