Hall of Fame Homecoming - October 10
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANN ARBOR, Mich., September 25, 2009 – The 2009 Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA) Homecoming Celebration will be held on October 10. The day will be filled with six athletic games, and a special Hall of Fame ceremony, which will commemorate CUAA’s inaugural Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony will be held at Rummel Field at 2:00 p.m.
The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2009 includes:
The 1999 Softball Team – School record 42 wins (school record 21 conference wins); NCCAA National Title; NAIA Regional Appearance; WHAC Conference Championship
Walt Harting – Men’s Basketball Coach 1974-1980 (all-time wins leaders with 92); Women’s Basketball Coach 1980-1986 (all-time wins leader with 96); Overall Concordia record of 188-113
Bob Monroe – Member of Baseball and Men’s Basketball Teams (Class of 1990); 3rd all-time for points scored – 1,789; 3rd most points scored in a season – 728 in 1989-1990; school record for career batting average - .408; 3rd most career hits – 192; school record for strikeouts as a pitcher – 177; second most strikeouts recorded in a season – 74 in 1989.
Amy (Wilson) Schrader – Member of softball, women’s basketball and volleyball teams (Class of 1998); career batting average of .340 is 3rd all-time; 2nd all-time for career runs scored with 137; 2nd all-time for career hits with 200; school record for points scored in a game with 37, 2nd all-time for career points with 1,875; 2nd all-time for career rebounds with 813; school record for career assists with 464; school record for kills with 1,361
