FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANN ARBOR, Mich., January 19, 2010 – Thomas Draves, assistant principal and seventh grade teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School in Ann Arbor, Mich., will lecture on "Evidence for the Flood" on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Trinity on Concordia University Ann Arbor's main campus. This lecture is free and open to the public.
Draves
will show what the Mount Saint Helens explosion actually taught scientists about stratification and carbon dating. Also, new data from petrified logs in the same region
reveal that cataclysm, rather than gradual change over a long time, accounts for their formation. Participants will be intrigued by how natural forces can dramatically alter a landscape in a brief period of time and how many of the features, which are identified as evidence for an "old earth," could have been formed relatively recently.
Draves received his master's degree in science education from the Institute for Creation Research in San Diego, California.
