| Concordia Highly Ranked by US News and World Report |

US News and World Report has just released the 2003 edition of America’s Best Colleges, and Concordia University was highly ranked. The category that Concordia University is listed in is Best Comprehensive Colleges - Bachelor’s. Concordia is ranked in Tier 2 for the Midwest region (this is out of 4 tiers listed). This is a very high ranking for for a small Liberal Arts university, and recognizes Concordia’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
The US News rankings are based on several factors, which they explain in detail here, but Concordia’s strong showing is based on factors such as our small class sizes and our excellent ratio of students to teachers. Concordia is able to offer highly personal instruction and foster relationships between students and faculty with our smaller classes. Concordia also scored well in the peer assessment category, which indicates that Concordia is highly thought of by Presidents, Provosts, and Deans of Admission at our peer institutions.
