ANN ARBOR, Mich. March 23, 2005–Concordia University (CUAA) Volleyball team has announced Christina Menke, a native of North Canton, Ohio, has been named a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Datronics All-America Scholar-Athlete for 2004.
Recipients must be a junior or above in academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Menke is currently a junior at CUAA with a GPA of 3.963 and is enrolled in the Elementary Education program. She is Concordia’s 15th NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete and 18th All-American overall.
Menke has also been nominated for the A.O. Duer Award. Named in honor of the NAIA’s former executive secretary for his 26 years of service, the award is presented annually to the outstanding male and female junior student athlete with an overall GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
