ANN ARBOR, MI - Concordia University is pleased to announce Mr. Barry Olsen has been appointed to the university Board of Regents.
A 1969 graduate of Concordia, Mr. Olson is co-president of Chimes, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Horizons in Rochester, MI. He and his wife Betty, are active members of Trinity Lutheran in Utica, MI.
Dr. James Koerschen, Concordia President, said, "We are honored Mr. Olsen has accepted our appointment to the Board of Regents for Concordia University. He brings a wealth of experience in many areas, but most importantly, he brings a sincere desire to serve his Lord, church and the University.
Mr. Olsen¹s appointment is for a three-year term. He replaces retiring Regent, Mr. Karl A. Kreft, who served on the Board for nine years and will remain active as the founding Chairman of the President¹s Advisory Council. In addition, the board elected to reappoint three other current members of the Board who were eligible for reappointment: Mr. Don Bennett of DeWitt, MI; Dr. Jack Fyans of Springfield, IL; and Mrs. Janice Wendorf of Concord, OH.
