ZAMBIAN ORPHAN CHOIR TO PERFORM AT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY
ANN ARBOR, Mich., September 21, 2006- The Zambian Orphans Choir will continue their 7-week U.S. tour with a performance Thursday, September 28 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Trinity on the campus of Concordia University–Ann Arbor.
The choir is comprised of fifteen children ranging in age from 7 to 16, who help raise awareness of the HIV AIDS pandemic and the resulting hardships for the 800,000 families and orphans in Zambia. Their program consists of original songs, traditional music, drama, and choral reading and is directed by Richman Syabbamba, Zambian composer and musician. The tour is sponsored by World Hope International, a faith based relief and development agency located in Springfield, Virginia.
