CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY-ANN ARBOR CHOIR TO PERFORM CONCERT
Ann Arbor, MI/February 9, 2004 – The Concordia University Choir and Arborsong will present a joint concert under the direction of Brian Altevogt on Friday, April 16 at 7:30pm in the Chapel of the Holy Trinity.
The Choir will perform the following selections:
See What Love Hath the Father from St. Paul by Mendelssohn
Agnus Dei from Missa Kenya by Paul Basler
My God is a Rock arranged by Shaw/Parker
My Shepherd Will Supply My Need arranged by Mack Wilberg
Tenebrae Factae Sunt by Marc Antonio Ingegneri
Nearer, my God, to thee from Five Hymns in Popular Style by John Gardner
Arborsong will perform:
Precious Lord arranged by Roy Ringwald
Exultate Deo by Palestrina
In The Light by D.C. Talk arranged by Stauffer/MacLaren
Wanting Memories from Crossings by Ysaye M. Barnwell
The Concordia Choir is a select ensemble of students from a broad range of academic disciplines. The choir performs a wide variety of sacred and secular choral literature ranging from early Renaissance to the masterworks of the twentieth century. Recent tours have taken the choir throughout the Midwest as well as to Washington D.C., New York, Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado.
The concert is open to the public free of charge. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity is located on the campus of Concordia University at 4090 Geddes Road in Ann Arbor, MI. For more information please contact Brian Altevogt at 734.995.7483.
