ANN ARBOR, Mich. March 8, 2005-Concordia University-Ann Arbor announced the promotion of Jerry Novak to director of buildings and grounds on February 15. In his new position, he is responsible for the maintenance department and campus needs as related to building and grounds maintenance. Novak has been with the university for the past 8 years as a member of the maintenance team.
“I have every confidence in Jerry’s ability to assume the role of director of buildings and grounds. He has served the university well in these past years and demonstrated his exceptional abilities as a member of the maintenance team,” said Charles Winterstein, executive vice-president.
Novak earned an associate degree in fire science and another in general education from Modesto Junior College in Modesto, California. He is currently working towards his heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) license.
