Life in the Spirit should distinguish life at Concordia University. Life in the Spirit calls us to be a community of believers who are privileged to integrate, within an academic setting, the biblical reality of Jesus, the Savior from sin and the Lord of all. The Book of His Word and the book of His works (Francis Bacon) are intertwined.
Pivotal within that flow of integration are the coming-together moments afforded by our daily Chapel services. A routine of participation in those visible-coming-together-moments is both an encouragement to others and a demonstration of who we are, namely, forgiven sinners alive in Christ.
The Chapel of the Holy Trinity dominates the campus landscape. In this beautiful structure, faculty, staff and student body worship together as a living testimony that Christ is first in all things. Chapel services are held each weekday during the academic year.
Rippling from those Christ-centered and Word focused Chapel worship opportunities should be care and concern for diverse individuals who make up this community. In the Chapel of the Holy Trinity in the morning and in the dormitory setting in the evening, faculty, staff and students have the opportunity to worship together in a variety of worship formats, as a living testimony that Christ is first in all things.
