Concordia participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) where loans are made to students by a lender such as a bank or credit union. These loans are insured by a Guaranty Agency (Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation), and reinsured by the Federal Government.

All of the following 3 steps must be completed for you to receive Stafford Loan funds.

Stafford Entrance Counseling
First-time Concordia borrowers are required to complete this session which presents the student with important information about their rights and responsibilities. (This is legally required).

|
The APPLY link on the Lender Chart will take you to Great Lakes Higher Education’s website where you will log in and perform the online counseling session. (This should be done by the student).
|

|
Loan Request / Promissory Note
The Stafford Loan is in the student’s name and this process should be done by the student.
After completing Entrance Counseling (Step 2), you will proceed to the loan request.
