Location and Hours
The Counseling Center is located in the Student Services Building. The counselor is generally available Monday through Friday from noon - 7p.m. with flexibility to meet at other times. The counselor, Gina Verseman, (995-7468) is best reached at counselor@cuaa.edu .
Evening and Weekend Crisis Situations
In the event of a mental health or medical emergency a Resident Assistant or Spiritual Life Representative needs to be contacted immediately. The RA or SLR will then call 911, alert Campus Security x7502 or 358-1340, and notify the Resident Directors x7380 and x7382.
Statement of Confidentiality
We respect our client's right to privacy and avoid illegal and unwarranted disclosures of confidential information unless we receive written permission from you for its disclosure. There are limits to our confidentiality, though, and we are obligated by law to inform relevant parties when there is a clear and imminent danger to an individual or to society. We also must report to appropriate authorities when there is evidence of child abuse or abuse of a vulnerable adult.
