Grants are awarded by federal and state agencies to students with need. Grants are applied toward the cost of your education. Unlike loans, grants do not need to be repaid, although renewing them may require you to maintain certain academic standards. Only the basic descriptions of the various grants can be provided. This is not a comprehensive listing of all grants that Concordia offers. To apply for most grants you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Pell Grants are awarded only to students who have NOT earned a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree students are NOT eligible. It has an annual award range from $400 to $4617. To determine if you are eligible financially, the US Department of Education uses a standard formula. Your eligibility depends on your EFC results from your FAFSA, the cost of attendance, whether you are a full-time or half-time student and whether you attend school for a full academic year or less.
