ON-CAMPUS JOBS
NOTE: If you have held a Student Worker position in the past you will notice that our procedures and forms have changed. Please read the following information carefully as you will not be paid if you do not complete the new requirements.
To apply for a student worker position:
- Complete a FAFSA (link to this) form and submit it to Financial Aid to determine eligibility for Federal or State assistance. (Mandatory for every student worker.)
- Review the jobs postings that are listed on the website under “Students” and select the jobs for which you want to apply.
- Receive an Award Letter from Financial Aid based on your FAFSA.
- Take your Award Letter to the Payroll Office to receive a Student Worker Packet. The Payroll Office is located in the Student Service Center. (Supervisors will not hire any student who does not have an Award Letter & Student Worker Packet.)
- Set up an interview time with the supervisor listed on the job posting of your choice. Hiring decisions are up to each department supervisor.
- Once you have been offered a position and have completed the forms in the Student Worker Packet, return it to the payroll department located in the Student Services building. (Please note that some of the forms will need to be completed by your supervisor or will require your supervisor’s signature.)
- Even if you have worked at Concordia in the past, you will need to complete the following forms:
- Federal tax W-4 form
- State tax form
- Homeland Security I-9 form. (Along with the I-9 we are required to have copies of ID from the list of acceptable IDs provided. (Example: Driver’s license and Social Security card or birth certificate, or a copy of your passport current or expired.)
- Drug Free Workplace Agreement
- Optional Direct Deposit form with a VOIDED check attached
Please keep an accurate time sheet and turn it in to the Payroll Office according to the time sheet schedule (generally every two weeks). You can pick up a time sheet schedule at the Payroll Office or download from our website. The time sheet MUST be signed by both you and your supervisor. We suggest that you keep a copy for your records.
