STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

Concordia’s student organizations play an important role in the community. As a member of a student organization, you could debate political issues, discuss academic interests, entertain students and campus visitors in a musical group or theater production, and more.

SOCIAL

  • Intramural Athletics - Intramurals are an important part of campus life, providing opportunities to have fun and be physically and socially active on campus. Past intramural seasons have offered ultimate Frisbee, flag football, basketball, volleyball and dodgeball. Don’t know how to play one of the sports?  Come on out anyways — there are always people who are willing to help you learn how to play!
  • Outdoors Club
  • Ping Pong Club
  • Student Activities Council - The Student Activities Council is a student-led group that is responsible for planning the wide variety of activities found on Concordia’s campus. The SAC has two major annual events to plan, the Spring Formal Dance and Concordiapalooza, and plans many other events based on student demand and interests. SAC is open to any Concordia student who wishes to join, and they’re always looking for new faces and ideas.
  • Student Senate - Student Senate is a group of Concordia students who represent their peers, whether you live on campus or are a commuter.  Senate is made up of an Executive Board (president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, RA chair, SLC chair and SAC chair), as well as a senator from each dorm on campus and commuter senators. In addition to representing student concerns, Senate puts on events through the Student Activities Committee (SAC) and completes service projects such as the Riverfront Clearing in 2009-2010.
