The goal of the university's Office of Financial Aid is to make a Concordia education possible for any student who wishes to receive one, regardless of their financial situation.
Fact: Over 90% of Concordia students receive financial assistance. Financial aid can bring Concordia’s costs well below those of state universities. Your aid package will be based on merit, financial need, or both. Plus, Concordia participates in federal and state aid programs.
Here are the main ways we can help you minimize the cost of your Concordia education…
- Scholarships are awarded not only for academic excellence, but also for exceptional talent in areas such as music, art, theatre, and athletics. You’ll find a list of available scholarships in the above chart. Scholarships do not have to be repaid.
- Grants are awarded by federal and state agencies to students with demonstrated need. Concordia also provides a significant share of its own funds for both need and non-need students. Grants, like scholarships, do not require repayment.
- Work-study programs allow you to work part-time on Concordia’s campus to help you pay your college-related expenses.
- Loans are borrowed funds, and must be repaid. Options include low-interest Federal Stafford and Perkins Loans for students, and Federal PLUS Loans for parents and graduate students. Concordia also participates in private alternative loan programs. Most student loans will not require repayment until you’re no longer enrolled in college at least half-time.
