CUAA’s School of Education recently announced it’s Summer Institute Workshop schedule. Interested teachers can choose from 16 different workshops at Concordia’s main Ann Arbor campus July 16 through July 24.

Each workshop is taught by an experienced instructor and participants will earn State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECH). Each day begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m., with lunch included.

“The Summer Institute Workshops are an opportunity for local teachers to learn new skills and collaborate with teachers from other schools and districts at very affordable rates,” said Dr. Marilyn Meell, director of CUAA’s Graduate Education Program.

According to Meell, research shows that teaching quality is one of the most important facts in raising student achievement. For teachers and school district leaders to be as effective as possible, they continually need to expand their knowledge and skills to implement the best educational practices.
