Concordia University Ann Arbor is hosting the 3rd annual Creation Conference July 6th-8th 2015. This year’s theme is “The Origin of Diverse Kinds of Life: Dinosaurs”. Registration is underway, and walk-up registration is available the day of the conference.
The purpose of the conference is to advance the mission of the SOC which is to provide support, education, affirmation, and encouragement for those who teach the historic position of the LCMS on the doctrine of creation and to affirm the biblical position on creation. At past conferences we have had a number of prominent speakers for our main sessions from the Creation Research Society (CRS). This year’s plenary addresses include:
“Do Dinosaurs Support Evolution?” Wherein he examines four myths of dinosaurs that are commonly taught to the public. “Unlocking the Mysteries of the Genesis Flood” This presentation reviews and updates rock and fossil evidence supporting a global Flood. It examines the fossil record of the dinosaurs within the context of the entire geologic column.
“Dead Bones - Not so Dead After-all”. Recently pliable, soft-tissue has been found in a variety of dinosaur specimens. These findings challenge the historical interpretation of dinosaur fossil dating methods. “The True Origin of the Species” Current genetic data suggests that true speciation is frequently a degradative process - the opposite of evolutionary requirements, but easily understood within a creation model.
