Program Overview

Our Finance program is a three-part curriculum including a liberal arts core, a foundation in general business, and a specialization in Finance. Some of the core and business foundation courses that you will use most in your studies of finance are accounting, economics, and statistics. Your finance courses will cover a wide array of financial and business management topics including the time value of money, interest rates, financial statements, capital allocation, stocks, bonds, derivatives, economic policy, international trade, foreign currency, regulation, and many others.

The program integrates Christian faith and business ethics to help you forge an ethical and responsible career. You will learn the basic principles of financial planning and asset valuation and become familiar with selecting and managing stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and derivatives and you’ll understand those markets. You’ll develop the ability to intelligently and ethically solve practical business problems and you’ll study the causes and consequences of globalization, the international monetary system, and international trade and foreign investment.

What to Expect

With a Bachelor of Science in Finance from CUAA, you’ll be prepared for a successful and ethical career in a wide range of fields, from security sales and financial planning to investment planning and international finance. Other career paths include budget analyst, portfolio manager, chief financial officer, and consultant, just to name a few.
