Not only is it in the best interest of your patients, it’s in the best interest of your staff as well. This bachelor’s in health care management program teaches the supervisory skills you need for proper management and administration in any system of care – be it acute, community, or long-term. This State of Wisconsin-approved “regular course of study” will qualify you to take the Nursing Home Administrator examination.

In this bachelor's in health care management program, we hold the following to be an unequivocal truth: we’re all created by God. When you’re an individual undergoing treatment in a healthcare facility – whether it’s acute, community, or long-term – it means you should be treated with utmost care and dignity. That’s your role as a healthcare administrator. To help uphold the dignity of each of your patients. It will also teach you how to be an effective healthcare administrator, how to evaluate research results applicable to a healthcare practice, and how to demonstrate effective communication – in writing and presentations.

What to Expect

There are so many intricacies to working in the field of healthcare. This program focuses primarily on working with others in the field of healthcare. It all starts with your ability to recognize every individual as a holistic being created by God – someone whose dignity, worth, and rights deserve to be respected and upheld.

This program will help you grow adept at analyzing different healthcare systems. You’ll grow an ability to synthesize knowledge from the sciences, humanities, and management theories as a basis for problem-solving and decision-making. You will be expected to display a willingness to work cohesively and communicate with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare network.

This program will equip you with the ability to evaluate research results that are applicable to your healthcare practice, and teach you how to create a reflective self plan for personal and professional growth. You’ll discover an ability to recognize and analyze current trends and issues related to healthcare management, which will help you grow throughout your career. And you’ll earn respect for diversity within the healthcare community – for both those who are served and the providers of care.

How to Apply

You may apply at any time as Concordia operates on a rolling admission basis with new courses beginning every 8 weeks. Applications will be reviewed until about two weeks before the start of the next eight-week class session.

Submit your accelerated online application.
We help guide you through: You will receive communication from your helpful Admission Counselor about next steps, entrance requirements, and how to submit application materials.
Review entrance requirements and submit admissions pieces:

Cumulative undergrad GPA of 2.00 for previous college credits from regionally accredited institutions for full acceptance. *If GPA is lower than 2.00, students may be accepted conditionally based upon additional requirements.
Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions must be sent to CUW Admission, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, WI 53097. If less than 60 college credits, an official high school transcript or proof of GED is required. *Standardized test results are not required.

Acceptance! When your application file is complete, it will be reviewed by the admission committee and you will be notified of entrance status.
Schedule Advising Appointment: Once admitted, you may schedule to meet with your Academic & Career Advisor who will review your degree plan, discuss orientation steps, the CUAA student portal, and assist with registering for classes.
Fill out application for Uncommon Scholarship if you qualify.
