“Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.” Exodus 20:24b

Who We Are

The Concordia University Worship Arts Ensembles are a collection of auditioned worship music leadership groups open to student vocalists and students playing rhythm section instruments (such as piano, keyboard, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass guitar, or drums). From time to time members of Wind, String and Brass ensembles are invited to play in with an ensemble.

What We Do

As a member of a Worship Arts Ensemble, you will rehearse weekly with a modern worship band and regularly provide music for daily worship services in the campus chapel. Members of advanced ensembles lead music for worship services at large regional gatherings and youth events, and also occasionally serve congregations and Christian schools throughout Michigan and surrounding states.

When We Meet

Worship Arts Ensembles (MUS 208) meet in four different sections: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 10:20 am, and Friday afternoons from 2:10 to 3:00 pm Musicians are placed in ensembles by the Director to provide a balanced sound vocally and instrumentally. MUS 208 can be taken for 1 credit or as an audit.

Our Leadership

The Worship Arts Ensembles are directed by adjunct professor of music, Amy Duncan.
