Peer academic coaching

Peer Academic Coaches (PACs) assist students in developing academic success strategies and behaviors such as time management techniques, development of organizational systems, and test taking strategies. PACs will also serve to connect students to other campus support services and resources.

How can PACs help me?

PACs help students develop the executive functioning skills necessary for success in college. PACs provide mentorship and can help with various topics including:

  • Understanding your syllabus
  • Stress management
  • Navigating Blackboard
  • Communicating with faulty members
  • Note taking
  • Overcoming test anxiety
  • Goal setting
  • Time management
  • Presentation etiquette
  • Motivation
  • Active reading
  • Understanding your learning style
  • Developing an organizational system
  • Preparing for exams
  • Connecting to campus resources
