New guidelines for fully-vaccinated

May 14, 2021

Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing

Dear Concordians,

On May 13, the CDC announced new guidance for fully vaccinated individuals regarding mask wearing. The CDC has stated:

Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html

Concordia has consistently followed the direction of the CDC, as well as local and state guidelines.

Therefore, for the Mequon and Ann Arbor campuses: as of Monday, May 17th the University will alter its mask-wearing policy to match this updated CDC guidance.

Beginning on May 17, face masks will no longer be required on the CUWAA campuses for anyone who is fully-vaccinated (normally defined as 2 weeks after the last vaccine dose). Mask wearing will continue to be an option for anyone who wishes.

Thank you again for your dedication in following our COVID policies over this last year.

Have a good weekend,

REV. DR. RYAN PETERSON
