SafeColleges online training for new students

August 7, 2020

Concordia has collaborated with SafeColleges to provide mandatory online training for new students.

Welcome NEW STUDENTS to Concordia University!

In order to be successful in your educational pursuits and enjoy all the activities and co-curricular programs on campus, we must have a community that honors one another. This means: a community free from harassment, sexism, and violence; a community that builds one another up rather than tears one another down; and a community that is committed to helping students develop in mind, body, and spirit, for service to Christ, in the Church and the World.

Through that spirit, Concordia has collaborated with SafeColleges to provide an online awareness module(s) on the topic of sexual harassment and violence. Concordia is required by the Federal Government to provide you with this education. Your completion of this online module(s) ensures your compliance with University policy.

The online module(s) will take about 30 minutes to complete. The directions to complete the educational module(s) will be distributed through an email from “SafeColleges”. Your successful completion of the module(s) will be recorded by SafeColleges and distributed to our office. My advice is to complete the mandatory module(s) before you start classes – I know your schedule will become very busy. The due date for this required training is September 11, 2020.

Have a very successful year,
Steve Taylor
Vice President of Student Life
