CUAA officials recently announced the University will offer the Certified Management Course becoming a select provider within Washtenaw County for this certification course. The faculty approved the measure earlier this month at the School of Business Plenary meeting.
According to CUAA’s Graduate Business Program Coordinator, Dr. Steven Van Oostenbrugge, this credential can appeal to a wide range of markets including students and industry professionals alike. Being certified has the potential of taking careers and leadership roles to the next level where competency and development are both expected and in demand.
“This certification isn’t limited to a particular industry or job title,” said Dr. Van Oostenbrugge. “It’s valuable across the board by increasing essential and necessary knowledge, confidence and decision-making skills. It’s about having a leg-up as a more qualified employee and person against other candidates within their career pursuits.”
The six week (one night per week), three credit course will be an elective within the University’s business program. It will be offered to both traditional and non-traditional students.
