Program Overview

The Professional Master’s in Business Administration (pMBA) is an advanced standing degree program that teaches ethical business practices, global citizenship, analytics and problem solving, and more. Industry veterans in this program will bring their own professional experience and background to help you network, learn from, and enhance your business acumen.

Why is the pMBA so important?

"If they wish to control any part of their own careers, they need to learn to speak the language that will determine how their practice is governed.  If they can write the agendas, structure the budgets, and understand the business plans, they will be able to manage their academic departments or their hospitals departments or their practices or write a grant proposal with an accurate budget, and shape the goals of the organization to match their goals. If they cannot, they will spend their career fulfilling the dreams and goals of others."

-Dr. Barbara McAneny MD, President Elect, American Medical Association

What to Expect

The pMBA consists of 39 credits, but CUAA recognizes prior graduate coursework or leadership-level experience, which allows you to enter the program with 9 credits of advanced standing. The remaining 30 credits consist of 24 core curriculum credits, 3 credits in strategic innovation, and a 3-credit Professional Seminar Series. This program is specifically suited for those who possess a doctoral or other terminal degree in their field, or a master’s degree, plus five years of executive-level experience.
