It’s easy! Attend events, log your attendance in the Goosechase App, and you’re done! Click this link to download the App (Apple Store | Google Play). Enter Game Code: 199M1X to access the Goosechase game. The game will go live at 8:00 am on Tuesday, August 29th, and run until Tuesday, October 10th at midnight. Winners will be announced by Student Events in the days following the end of the competition.
Goosechase is a virtual scavenger hunt app that allows for ultimate engagement as you accomplish “missions” to achieve points! Each event is listed as a Mission in the App and is worth varying points. To log your attendance, find the event/Mission listed on Goosechase, and accomplish whatever the details are for said mission. See the image to right for an example of what to expect! Please note that some missions will not be available for you to accomplish until the exact day and time of the event.
Any event put on by the Department of Student Events, any event the Department collaborates on with other CUAA Departments, and all Sports games will count toward Cardinal Craze! Additional opportunities will be released on the Goosechase App as they arise. Please note that all events are subject to change.
All Cardinal Craze events can be viewed on the Goosechase App on the "Missions" tab. You can also keep up with our upcoming events by following us on Instagram (@cuaastudentevents), checking "The Current" emails, viewing the Upcoming Events Calendar on the CUAA Website, and checking our Bulletin Boards in the Student Union and Student Services Building!
Once the competition is over, Student Events will verify all submissions. This is to ensure that all mission entries are valid and qualifying. Please note that this may cause the leaderboard to shift around if we find invalid entries (i.e., submitting a video of you at home for a mission that requires you to be at a soccer game). After all submissions have been entered, we will recheck the leaderboard to see who our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are. We will then notify each winner via push notification on the App and announce the winners on our Instagram (@cuaastudentevents). In this case, please keep the Goosechase App downloaded on your phone to receive any and all notifications. The 1st place winner will get to choose which of the three prizes they would like first. The 2nd place winner will get to choose which remaining prize they want afterwards, and the 3rd place winner will go last.
