We love the spirit of young believers. In fact, we have a campus that’s full of people who are not so far removed from their own high school experiences! So we’re perfectly positioned to play a role in helping nurture young Christians’ faith. Whether the youth we reach become future Concordians or not, we know we’re ultimately equipping the Church through the various ministries and resources listed below.
Campus Ministry Leadership Team
Any student involved in campus ministry is part of the Campus Ministry Leadership Team (CMLT). These students lead community groups, help to organize student mission trips and the Mission of the Month, and even serve as campus ministry coordinators in their residence halls.
Concordia students who volunteer for CMLT stay extremely busy throughout the year with these on-campus efforts, and you can learn more about those here, but their efforts might also align with your church’s youth ministry efforts. Here are a few of the ways our students can plug in with you:
- New Crew — New Crew leaders aren’t afraid to pull an all-nighter for the sake of the Gospel! Concordians lead lock-ins each year at churches in the area, exposing youth to 12 hours of devotions, games, activities, and worship. Interested in requesting New Crew for your church? Reservations are made each year, starting on the first of July by emailing Director of Campus Ministry Randall.Duncan@cuaa.edu. Spaces fill up quickly, so be sure to book early.
- Tool Time — Each semester, 50-plus CUAA students on the New Crew team organize a youth retreat weekend on Concordia’s campus specifically tailored for senior high youth (fall) and junior high youth (spring). Tool Time is a beloved event that gives high school and junior high students a chance to connect with Concordia students and their peers while they get a taste of life on campus. But most importantly, they are surrounded by the love of Jesus; Relationships with one another and with Christ are deepened, and lives are changed. Learn more about Tool Time here.
