The Fieldwork Program at Concordia University Ann Arbor offers you the opportunity to experience practicum in a parochial or private school setting.  Tied to education courses that teach theory, fieldwork will follow you throughout your studies in the School of Education.  Intentional opportunities for teacher candidates include classroom observations, small group interactions, and periodic whole class instruction.

Fieldwork serves as an introduction and a glimpse into the student teaching experience that you will complete towards the end of the education program. A fieldwork coordinator will help you complete the necessary forms and application pages, though it is your responsibility to complete the learning activities identified by the Concordia professor and classroom teacher.  Some have called it, "learning on the go" since theory blends with practicum in an opening look at the world of formal education.

The School of Education is glad to have you as a future teacher!
