Our desire as a campus is to be a "City on a Hill" and to demonstrate God's love to Southeast Michigan.
Each month, CUAA’s campus ministry team selects a project, local organization, or service-minded idea to receive support from the entire campus as we passionately pursue serving that mission. Concordia invites all students, faculty, staff and even alumni and friends from the community to dedicate resources or manpower in ways that can have a significant impact and incredibly positive effect. Most importantly, Concordia is a community of prayer, lifting up that month’s mission in intentional prayer and reverence to God.
Sometimes, a Mission of the Month is an annual effort, like the annual Sweatshirt Drive Concordia holds every September in partnership with Family of God Ministries in Detroit, Michigan. As the winter months draw near, the need for warm layers rises for the many homeless families and individuals that Family of God serves. The Mission of the Month might also be a new idea or initiative in response to a crisis or a community need, like collecting donations for victims of a natural disaster or helping a local organization that could use a boost.
